Anime North 2008

The convention came and went so quickly. :shrug:
I regret not going to more events. Silly me, I should have looked through the events booklet beforehand. Most of the time, I was buying to my heart's content in the Dealer's Room. :XD:

One interesting thing that I noticed was that most of the artist in the booths at the Anime North Artist Alley are on dA. :excited: I ended up buying a print (of a fight scene between Naruto and Sasuke) by *yanimator And he even signed it. ^__^

This year, I went to the convention with a group of friends. Half of us were gothic lolitas and dandies and the other half were characters from Avatar. (A couple had two costumes and changed depending on the day). So far, I only have a couple of photos. But I will keep adding more. Check them out here: [link]

It's loud and colourful :)
And be careful if you have a camera with you. Be sure that thousands of visus will jump in the picture. :D

You're right. Going to a convention costs a lot of money. :omg:

I've never been to a visual kei convention before. How is it? (I have a friend who really likes visual kei bands, like Dir en Grey and Malice Mizer).

I was a gothic lolita too! I love the style! ~ Cosplaying as Nana? That sounds great! =D I'm planning to cosplay during Halloween, but I haven't decided on the character yet. There's so many to choose from. ^__^

Oh yeah ^^ I visit a lot of conventions.
But I wasn't at the big anime conventions till now. Just too expensive.
But I go to visual kei conventions, goth loli meetings, japan day and so on :)
I was a goth loli and something that should be bou [an cafe], but nothing really good till know. But I planned to cosplay nana at next japan day.

Yeah, Paradise Kiss is a must-read series. ^^ Ai Yazawa has such a unique style =D

Some of my friends love One Piece too. They were the ones who told me to watch it. =D

I like Nana too! ^^ I love that manga artist. Have you read Paradise Kiss too?

I like all sorts of anime/manga, but my personal favourites are Fruits Basket, Naruto, Bleach, and Ouran.

Lately, I started to like Soul Eater and One Piece. ^__^
